Getting started with TvRMM

Start in the portal, confirm the organization you are working in, and choose an enrollment path that matches the endpoint type.

First endpoint flow

  1. Create or join a tenant. Hosted signup begins with email verification before operational access is active.
  2. Check your role. Viewer can read. Operator can run endpoint actions. Admin can manage organizations and many operational settings. Owner can perform tenant-sensitive actions.
  3. Add organizations. Organizations scope endpoint visibility and action authority.
  4. Enroll one endpoint. Use the portal's generated bootstrap command for the selected platform.
  5. Review starter policies, self-service agent limits, and any eligible promotion-code inventory before rolling out broadly.

First endpoint checklist

  • Use a current bootstrap command from the portal, not an old copied command.
  • Install on a direct endpoint for direct-agent management, or on a Proxmox VE or Unraid host for host-reported VM/container inventory.
  • For a VM, container, or Docker workload, decide whether you want host-observed visibility or direct in-guest management. Guest row routing and direct-agent authority explains which row owns each action.
  • Confirm the endpoint appears in the expected organization before running patch, script, terminal, reboot, or homelab actions.
  • Review Policy Center before changing recurring behavior such as patching, log collection, monitoring, agent updates, or remote access.
  • Set self-service agent limits before enrolling more devices to protect billing.
  • If your tenant has an eligible campaign code, redeem it through the portal before relying on included-agent billing behavior. See Promotion codes and campaign offers.
  • Use the operating-as role selector if you want to test lower-role behavior before giving access to another user.
